Since the f8 conference last week, we’ve already seen tons of social media changes.
Spotify is a pioneer in the new Open Graph and post to Timeline technology, and it’s frustrating many of it’s users. Not only are you required to have a facebook account to sign up for Spotify, but they made it very difficult to turn off the post to Timeline feature. Essentially, as for now, Spotify and facebook are bff. This is good for them, but could be annoying for us.

Why?
Say you love listening to music. And you just HAPPEN to be a 30 year old male who enjoys listening to a little Hanson first thing in the morning. There’s nothing wrong with that guilty pleasure, but… you probably don’t want all of your friends to know about it too.
Luckily for us, the public complained, and Spotify added a “Private Listening” feature to their app.
How do you access it?
Go to your file menu and you should see it right in there: Private Listening

It’s a thing of beauty isn’t it? Now no one has to know about your love for a little mmmmBop in the morning.
