Social Media is not just Facebook and Twitter. Nor is it just Google+ and Linkedin. Those are the biggest names in the game though, so it’s easy to get stuck somewhere underneath with little recognition.

We’ve all heard of sites like Yelp and TripAdvisor and they do a great job of telling us what’s hot and what’s not… but how many sites allow you to rate/review your neighborhood as a whole while networking with people who live around you?

Have you ever traveled and wondered what a specific neighborhood was really like? You want to hear from locals, not businesses. Most of us resort to a Google search and hope that the research we’re doing is accurate.

Tell people the things you love (and hate) about your nabe (or nabes you’ve visted). Be funny, be witty, but above all be informative. Nabewise will take your info and help you find other nabes that are similar to your tastes. Bam! Perhaps you’ll find a place you’ve never been before that is EXACTLY like you.

You’ll get a chance to meet new and exciting people in your area. Are you a single guy or girl who recently moved into the nabe? No prob. You’ll be able to find people around you who have similar tastes, heck… you can meet up for coffee and talk about other nabes you’ve visited.
