Facebook got a little nervous when G+ came out. It’s like the jock at high school when a new jock comes around, the older jock needs to strut his stuff… prove that he’s better.
OK, maybe that’s not happening, but 2 days ago Facebook unveiled a subtle new feature called “On This Day”. Basically, Facebook shows you status updates from 2009 and 2010 that were posted exactly 365 (or 730) days ago.

Kinda cool, kinda creepy. Makes me wonder if Facebook is trying to remind you of your loyalty to it in the last few years. (So as to keep you from switching to a new social media site, perhaps?)
But it got me thinking: every time I look up in the top right hand corner of my Facebook page, there is something new there…

People I might know… and therefore should befriend:

Heck, it even let’s me know what my boyfriend/sisterfriend have been posting for the last several years:

The features are cool, and I guess, if anything, they make sure the top right hand corner of my screen never gets boring.
Do you utilize any of those features, and what are your thoughts on seeing your status updates from 365 days ago… cool or lame?
